Reiki Level 1:
Prerequisites: This is our entry-level class and there are no prerequisites required for attendance at this class.
First Degree Attunement: Level 1 or first-degree training is a practitioner’s initiation into Reiki and the focus of this attunement is on opening the energy channels on a physical level, allowing the practitioner to connect to the universal life force energy.
Description: The emphasis of the first degree is self-treatment, where students are encouraged to focus on practicing Reiki on themselves, thereby working through their own obstacles and clearing blockages. Many experience physical symptoms of energy in their palms after the first attunement — including tingling, coolness, air movement or heat. The first degree also includes an overview of the history of Reiki, hand placements and self and group practice.
Reiki Level 2:
Prerequisites: Completion of the Reiki Level 1 or first-degree training class is required for attendance at this class.
Second Degree Attunement: Level 2 or second-degree training focuses on practicing Reiki on others, as well as an expanded opening of the energy channels with the Level 2 attunement.
Description: In addition to the attunement students receive the Reiki Symbols. The Reiki symbols allow the practitioner to actually connect to and activate a response from a higher level of consciousness and deeply connect to the universal energy and qualities that the symbols represent. This includes the ability to power up more, focus on mental and/or emotional healing and also the ability to provide distance Reiki, sending healing energy to individuals, places or instances wherever they may be.
Due to the intensity of the attunement process, I would normally recommend that at least 21 days pass between receiving the Level 1 and Level 2 attunements.
Reiki Level 3:
Prerequisites: Completion of the Reiki Level 1 and 2 training is required for attendance at this class.
Third Degree/Master Attunement: In Reiki Level 3 or third degree & Reiki Master you will receive the Master attunement along with the corresponding symbol and also be trained in attuning new students or practitioners and this is traditionally considered the teacher’s level.
Description: The master attunement along with the corresponding symbol heals the spiritual state of the recipient and connects them with their greatest potential. The Reiki Levels provide a general organization of the progression of Reiki mastership. Becoming a Reiki Master represents a deep commitment to the Reiki practice, and some feel that significant time should pass between achieving the Second-Degree status and Master Level.
