“Hi all, just a quick note before you read more about how I have come to be an energy therapist.  I have been going on about Reiki and IET, Kinesiology and using crystals and energy therapy for years now and to a whole spectrum of different people of all walks of life too and it’s not always an easy conversation.  In fact it took a while to just be comfortable enough to talk away about it to people who may just have asked that pretty normal standard question of what I do for a living.  Once I say a complementary therapist, peoples response and accompanying look on their face like “oh no this one believes in all that stuff” was so common that I even got in the habit of dropping in a little joke in by saying “I’m a complementary therapist, oh and you look lovely today” just to lighten the load or give them a giggle before they then ask can I see their Aura whilst they slide away to talk to a normal person.  And do you know what, I totally get it…in all its forms.  For a lot of people, it’s maybe considered a bit airy-fairy, a bit touchy feely, a bit new-agey and can be shrouded in the mystery of whether it works or not and whether it aligns with their religious convictions.  And that’s the thing…. it’s only when you experience it yourself that you can see it for what it is and for what it can do.  First as a recipient and now as a practitioner of energy therapy I get to see clients working with energy and witness them experiencing a whole myriad of benefits, very individual and personal to them and their specific life circumstance – from instant relaxation to having a renewed sense of purpose and connectedness to the moment, to themselves, to others.  From instant stress or pain relief to identifying and releasing deeply suppressed feelings all but forgotten about.  Whether you are feeling the effects of stress, would like a pampering hour to yourself or would like to explore other aspects of yourself your emotions, your thinking patterns and behaviour or your spiritual side go get a treatment, if not with me with someone else but go do it…this stuff works, maybe not always in the way you expect it, but it always works”.
